Our Field Operations Group manages a wide range of contracts, including earthworks, road and access construction, clearing and reclamation services for the mining, oil & gas, and forestry sectors, as well as multiple forestry logging operations.

As part of our continued growth and commitment to operational excellence, 4Evergreen Resources LP is seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly capable Director, Project Delivery to lead the Field Operations Group. This role reports directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for overseeing a team of Superintendents, the Project Coordinator and working closely with Business Development and Estimating ensuring the successful delivery of all field-based projects with an emphasis on safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance.

Job Description:

The Director, Project Delivery will provide senior leadership and coordination across all active and upcoming 4EG projects. This role is critical in leading and mentoring Superintendents and project teams to meet operational and financial targets while maintaining compliance with internal standards, regulatory frameworks, and client expectations.

The successful candidate will bring a deep background in project execution within resource sectors such as forestry, oil & gas, mining, and civil construction, have demonstrated exceptional leadership, with proven experience in managing earthworks, road construction, access roads, clearing, reclamation, and forestry logging contracts across the mining, oil and gas, and forestry sectors. The candidate will have demonstrated operational agility, strong financial oversight, and the ability to manage complex, concurrent project portfolios across multiple geographies.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Project Oversight:

Provide senior oversight across all projects under the Field Operations Group, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, safety, and client satisfaction.

Leadership & Team Development:

Mentor and develop a high-performing team of Superintendents. Provide direction, set expectations, and coach team members to ensure optimal project outcomes and professional development.

Operational Excellence:

Establish and enforce best-in-class processes for project planning, delivery, reporting, and continuous improvement. Ensure consistent execution standards across all active sites.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

Serve as the senior liaison with clients, community representatives, and partners. Lead project reviews, handle escalations, and ensure strong and sustainable relationships are maintained.

Budgeting & Financial Performance:

Develop and manage operating budgets and project financials. Review project profitability, oversee cost controls, and work closely with finance and estimating teams to optimize outcomes.

Change Management:

Oversee project scope changes, ensuring appropriate approvals, documentation, and alignment with contract terms and schedules.

Safety Leadership:

Drive a safety-first culture across all projects. Ensure that safety programs are effectively implemented, monitored, and continuously improved in collaboration with HSE leadership.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work with internal departments—including Estimating, Finance, HSE, Human Resources, and Equipment—to ensure operational support and integration.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in project execution, operations, or construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams in resource-based industries (mining, forestry, oil & gas, or heavy civil).
  • Experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects with complex scopes, high dollar values, and tight deadlines.

Leadership, Team Management & Communication:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse teams to meet deadlines, maintain high-quality standards, and exceed safety expectations.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, motivate diverse teams, and drive results in high-pressure environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflict and negotiate solutions effectively.
  • Ability to leverage technology to optimize workflow, track project progress, and facilitate communication

Safety Leadership:

  • Strong understanding of industry-specific safety protocols and best practices, with proven experience in promoting a safety-first culture on-site.
  • Safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, OSHA, or similar) are an

Technical and Financial Acumen:

  • Sound understanding of project financials, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Experience working with project management tools such as Procore, MS Project, or equivalent systems.
  • High computer literacy and comfort with reporting software, dashboards, and data analysis tools.

Education:

  • Significant experience in Project Management and Leadership is mandatory, whilst estimating experience and working with estimating teams are sought after skills.

Certifications & Licenses:

  • Valid driver’s license and safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, HSE, environmental) are required or preferred depending on field exposure.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is considered a strong
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or a related field will be highly regarded.
