As part of our expanding field team, 4EG is seeking hardworking and safety-conscious Laborers to support our various operations. These roles are critical in assisting project execution across multiple sites and report directly to the Superintendent, Project Delivery or a delegated Lead.

Job Description:

Laborers are responsible for supporting daily operations on construction and resource-based projects. This includes assisting equipment operators, performing material handling, site cleanup, fueling tasks, and maintaining tools and equipment. The role is physical in nature and requires working outdoors in varying conditions and schedules.

Laborers must work collaboratively, maintain a strong safety mindset, and be adaptable to a fast- paced and dynamic field environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Assistance:

Assist heavy equipment operators and other team members with day-to-day site activities, including guiding backing-up maneuvers and attaching trailers or implements using clear visual signals and safety protocols.

Fueling and Maintenance Support:

Refuel equipment, top up lubricants and fluids, and assist with basic maintenance and readiness checks.

Material Handling:

Load and unload tools, equipment, and supplies. Store items as instructed and keep work areas organized and safe.

End-of-Shift Readiness:

Perform post-operation checks and basic cleaning or maintenance on tools and assigned equipment to ensure readiness for the next day or shift.

General Site Duties:

Support job site cleanliness, erosion control, minor carpentry, snow removal, or other labor tasks as directed by the site Supervisor or Superintendent.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Prior experience in construction, oil & gas, mining, forestry, or related industries is
  • Ability to work outdoors in a physically demanding environment with exposure to various weather and terrain conditions

Certification & Licensing:

  • Valid Driver’s License (Ability to tow trailers is an asset).
  • Possess and maintain current safety certifications such as:
    • WHMIS 2015
    • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
    • OFA Level 1
    • H2S Alive
    • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS)
    • Wildlife Awareness
    • S-100 (Fire Suppression)
  • Equipment-specific tickets or in-house training certificates are

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work long hours, in varying weather conditions, and in physically demanding
  • Must pass pre-employment and site-access drug and alcohol
